This exciting venue is a hub of community activity in the centre of Tauranga. It is a well-equipped space with the ability to cater to groups & events of all different types & sizes. The Elizabeth Street Community & Arts Centre has several spaces available for hire & offers an extremely versatile layout. It is an affordable, flexible & popular venue to hire in a great location.
There are two large spaces in this venue which can be hired together or separately to suit your group. The first space has a modern, carpeted upper section and a concrete lower section with a wooden stage. These sections are divided by an internal wall of windows and access between them is via a ramp. This room is located next to the kitchen on the right-hand side of the building.
The second space has a wooden floor with carpeted outer edges. This room is ideal for dance classes as the wooden floor is suitable for all dance styles, and the carpet allows for chairs on the perimeter so that spectators can enjoy all the action. It also offers a second small, raised stage.
Both spaces have their own entry points, but also have unlocked access between the two. Separate bathroom facilities are available in the spaces, and the kitchen can be used by either room. This venue is popular for dance classes, performing arts & even expos. Local markets & art exhibitions will feel at home in this diverse centre. Yes, we require a bond for all venue hire. A venue check will be carried out after the function & your bond will be returned provided that there is no damage to the facility.
