Gary Dawson - Chief Executive Officer

Gary is an experienced CEO with a track record of leading high profile sports and information technology organisations achieve success.

Prior to joining Bay Venues Gary was CEO of the Championship winning Chiefs team. He has over 21 years senior management experience in sales, human resources, customer service, event management, community and high performance sport. Gary is a Director of Sports Business Solutions.

Adam Ellmers - Chief Financial Officer

Adam has a number of years of experience in senior finance roles within the commercial sector. Most of his experience has been based overseas in the UK and Australia, spending time in healthcare, entertainment and consumer products.

As Chief Financial Officer, Adam is tasked with leading the finance and accounting function of the business, and supporting the wider business to make sound financial decisions.

Justine Brennan - Chief Operating Officer

Justine Brennan is the COO for Bay Venues with specific responsibilities as manager of the University of Waikato Adams High Performance Sports Centre, plus she oversees Marketing, IT, Strategy and acts as the liaison for the CCO relationship with Tauranga City Council. 

Justine has held significant strategic planning roles in both the private and public sector as well as having been a high calibre rower of Olympic potential.

Ervin McSweeny - Commercial Manager

Ervin McSweeney - Commercial Manager

Ervin has many years experience in general management and leadership of a range of organisations ranging across the not for profit sector, public organisations, and also in the purely commercial environment.

After graduating at law Ervin has pursued a career in the sports and recreation industry with roles in the administration of sporting organisations, venue management and the events sector. This has led to involvement in a wide range of activity from community based events through to international level sporting fixtures.

Ervin manages the areas of Bay Venues business that have a predominantly commercial aspect inclusive of four individual business units and event development and delivery.

Tina Harris-Ririnui  - Community Programmes Manager

Tina Harris-Ririnui - Venues & Programmes Manager

Tina is an experienced senior manager with extensive industry expertise in Recreational Facility Management. Tina has over 20 years’ experience including the last 15 years in senior management positions, is an accredited Recreation Professional and has an MBA from Waikato University.

She has worked in the public, not-for-profit and private sector and has a strong customer-centric approach. Tina’s portfolio includes overseeing the management of 22 venues and the community activities which occur in them.

Robyn Mills - People & Performance Manager

Robyn Mills is the People & Performance Manager for Bay Venues Limited. She is qualified in both Human Resources and Health and Safety and has extensive experience in both the hospitality and manufacturing industries, including ten years with a multi-national organisation.
