Peter Farmer - Chairman

Peter Farmer is the Executive Chairman of Tauranga's Farmer Motor Group Ltd. His professional background was in public affairs for the Todd Corporation and sales, marketing and management of Nissan New Zealand. Mr Farmer has been extensively involved in a wide range of Tauranga-based organisations including Priority One, Waipuna Hospice, Compass Foundation, Acorn Foundation and was a Director of the NZ Motor Trade Association.

He is strongly committed to the Tauranga community and supports many community and philanthropic organisations including Riding for the Disabled.

Keith Tempest - Director

Keith Tempest is a Tauranga based professional Director with a background in commerce and marketing. He was formerly Chief Executive of TrustPower Ltd for eight years and currently a Director of the Port of Tauranga Limited, Transpower Limited, NZ Bus Limited and Crown Fibre Holdings Limited. Mr Tempest has strengths in business strategy, acquisitions and mergers, complex commercial arrangements and risk management. He has strong links with the local business community and is a long-time resident of Tauranga.

Shirley Baker has a professional background in accounting and finance including with local authorities and CCOs.  She is the owner/Director of an Engineering company in Mount Maunganui with a very strong focus and experience in Health & Safety.

Shirley was previously a Director of Tauranga City Aquatics with 3 years as Chair.  She was also Chair of Netball Bay of Plenty and a former Director of the Waikato/Bay of Plenty "Magic Franchise".  Current Directorships include Sport Bay of Plenty, Mount Ocean Sports Club and Waipuna Hospice.

She has had considerable experience as a Director of private companies and in sports administration. She has been a competitive swimmer and swimming coach and is passionate about sport and business in the local community.

Murray Gutry - Director

Murray is a Hamilton based Professional Director.
He was previously the Chief Executive of the Perry Group and Sport Waikato.

His current Directorships include Sport New Zealand, High Performance Sport New Zealand, Bay Venues, Lion Foundation, Perry Group, Perry Metal Protection, Aqualine Limited, Midland Health Network and Learning Works.

Murray has an extensive career as a sportsman – former NZ 100 metre national track title and record holder, NZ athletics representative 1981 to 1990, Waikato Rugby representative. He has also served as chair of Waikato Sports Promotions and Waikato Institute of Sport and Leisure Studies, and as a trustee of Waikato Regional Sports & Events Centre Trust Board that built Waikato Stadium.

Graeme Elvin - Director 

Graeme Elvin is a well known local lawyer. Mr Elvin, who is a Partner in Tauranga law firm McKenzie Elvin brings valuable experience to the position with a strong background in commercial law, governance, sport and not for profit community organisations. A keen sportsman and former representative rugby player, Mr Elvin was also Chairman of the Chiefs Super 14 Rugby Franchise.

Dean Waddell

Dean Waddell is the current owner of Tauranga City Pak n Save.  Previously he owned the Brookfield New World for 21 years.  He has been in the food industry for 22 years and has a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University.

Mr Waddell is currently on the Board of Foodstuffs North Island.  Mr Waddell is a significant contributor to Tauranga Clubs and Societies and has a long association with the Speedway as a Competitor.
