Tauranga Synchronised Swimming Club trains at Baywave week nights and Saturdays.
Synchronized swimming is a combination of swimming, dance and gymnastics, consisting of swimmers performing a synchronized routine in the water accompanied by music. Synchro develops advanced water skills, great strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry and precise timing. Girls swim in teams, duets and solos, and work to compete in the Interschool, North Island and National Champs every year, as well as local displays from time to time.
Want to give it a try?
To try Synchro, you must be a competent swimmer and happy to swim underwater. Girls usually start between the age seven and 12 years. We also have Mermaids for younger girls (4-7) which teaches simple Synchro skills.
